World Peace Through Compassion Award. Given to deserving individuals whose compassionate approach to uplifting humanity through their given field from three charities that co-produced the New York Birthday Celebration for His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama each July 6 from 2012-18 (?).
The New York celebration, one of a dozen held around the world, took place at Essex House on Central Park. The three organizations were the Tibet Fund, the Gaia Foundation, and the J. Luce Foundation.
In 2017, the awardees were:
- Very Rev. James Parks Morton, former Dean, Cathedral of Saint John the Divine; Founder, The Interfaith Center of New York
