    Star Alliance. The world’s largest global airline alliance, providing passengers with extensive travel options and seamless connectivity. Founded on May 14, 1997, it was the first airline alliance to establish a truly global network and remains one of the three major alliances, alongside Oneworld and SkyTeam.

    History and Formation

    Star Alliance was created by five founding airlines: Lufthansa, United Airlines, Air Canada, Scandinavian Airlines, and Thai Airways International. The goal was to enhance travel convenience by offering coordinated services, schedules, and loyalty benefits.
