    Jerome Robbins (1918-98, age 79). An American dancer, choreographer, film director, theater director and producer who worked in classical ballet, on stage, film, and television in New York City.

    For much of his life, Robbins about being gay and he had relationships with both men and women. His first long-term gay relationship was with Montgomery Clift in the late 1940s when Clift was a young actor on Broadway (this was ended by Clift when he received a Hollywood contract).
