    Errol Daniel Rappaport (1944-2025, age 81). An American public relations executive, television and music producer, philanthropist, and U.S. Air Force veteran, widely recognized as a connector and “Goodwill Ambassador” in New York City and beyond.

    Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1944, Rappaport, Errol Daniel—known as Errol Rappaport—led a vibrant career spanning Los Angeles, Acapulco, and New York. His early professional life included public relations work in Los Angeles and Acapulco before he transitioned to television and music production in New York City.

    He was a regular contributor to Black Tie Magazine and Wonderama Television, and was celebrated for his dynamic presence, signature style, and ability to bring people together from all walks of life.

    Rappaport’s personal motto, “My reality is most people’s fantasy,” encapsulated his zest for life and his reputation for positivity and inclusivity.

    He was known for his signature bright orange Iris Apfel glasses, slicked-back hair, and colorful scarves, making him a recognizable figure at social and philanthropic events.

    His career highlights included co-founding QuinntEssential Productions with his partner and best friend, Quinn Lemley. Together, they created the talk show Secrets of the Stage on Manhattan Neighborhood Network, contributed to Black Tie Magazine and Spotify, and produced the big band album Remembering Rita.

    A passionate philanthropistRappaport was deeply committed to supporting others, especially in times of need. He returned to New York from Los Angeles to care for his aging parents, David and Frances Rappaport., both prominent fashion designers.

    His advocacy for elder care and guardianship reform was chronicled in Diane Dimond’s book, We’re Here to Help: When Guardianship Goes Wrong, highlighting his efforts to protect his mother and others in vulnerable situations.

    Rappaport’s service as a medic in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War reflected his lifelong commitment to helping others. He also worked closely with legendary acting teacher Lee Strasberg as his assistant, further cementing his ties to the creative and performing arts communities.
