    Quill and Scroll Honor Society. An international high school journalism honor society that recognizes and encourages both individual and group achievements in scholastic journalism. According to the Quill and Scroll website, over 14,611 high schools in all 50 U.S. states and 44 countries have established local chapters.

    The organization was founded in 1926 at the University of Iowa and has today 14,611 chapters with 5,235 members (2022-23) collegiate; 1,529,948 lifetime.
