Public Speaking (oratory). The act or skill of delivering speeches on a subject before a live audience. Public speaking has played an important cultural, religious and political role in human history. For all that, it is important to use a speaker’s rhetorical skills.

The premier organization dedicated to public speaking is Toastmasters International (TI), a U.S.-headquartered nonprofit educational organization. Toastmasters operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping people develop communications, public speaking, and leadership skills.
