    Oklahoma State University (informally O.S.U., OK State, Oklahoma State) is a public land-grant research university in Stillwater, Oklahoma. OSU was founded in 1890 under the Morrill Act and was originally known as Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College (Oklahoma A&M).

    O.S.U. is the flagship institution of the Oklahoma State University System that enrolls more than 34,000 students across its five institutions with an annual budget of $1.69 billion for fiscal year 2024. As of Fall 2023, 26,008 students are enrolled at the university. O.S.U. is classified among “R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity.”
