    Mount Washington (NH).  The highest peak in the White Mountains, elevation 6,288 feet, located within the White Mountain National Forest. This is the highest peak in the Northeastern United States and is notorious for its erratic weather. There is a cog railroad that climbs to the top as well an an auto road.
