Jim Luce. Born James Jay Dudley Luce. A philanthropist and founder of United Nations-affiliated Orphans International Worldwide and The James Jay Dudley Luce Foundation.
Luce holds a BA degree in Cultural Area Studies: East Asia from the College of Wooster. He focused on traditional Japanese art and contemporary Japanese literature, studying at Earlham College and Waseda University in Tokyo. His education has influenced his global humanitarian efforts, particularly in East Asia, South Asia, and South East Asia.
Luce is a freelance writer for the New York Times and writes regularly on Thought Leaders and Global Citizens for the Huffington Post and Daily Kos. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Stewardship Report.
Luce began his career at the age of 24 as an Assistant Eurobond Portfolio Manager with Daiwa Bank on Wall Street upon his return from studying at Waseda University in Tokyo.
