    Grammy Awards. Often called the “Grammys,” are annual awards by the Recording Academy to honor music industry achievements. They are considered music’s most prestigious awards, first held on May 4, 1959, for 1958’s accomplishments.

    Originating from the Hollywood Walk of Fame project, the Grammys have grown to include 94 categories by 2025. The 67th ceremony, held on February 2, 2025, moved to ABC, Disney+, and Hulu after over 50 years on CBS, as part of a ten-year deal Official Website.

    Awards cover general fields like Album of the Year and genre-specific categories, with winners chosen by Recording Academy Voting Members, including artists and producers, through multiple voting rounds.

    Notable Facts
    Beyoncé holds the record for most wins by a female artist, and the ceremony is known as “music’s biggest night,” alongside the Academy Awards, Emmys, and Tonys.
