Isabella Stewart Gardner (1840-1924, age 84). An American art collector, philanthropist, and patron of the arts. She founded the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. Gardner possessed an energetic intellectual curiosity, a love of travel, and, wealth. She was born in New York City and died in Boston.
