Anne Frank (1929-45, age 15). Luce Index™ rank 95. A German-born Jewish girl who kept a diary documenting her life in hiding amid Nazi persecution during the German occupation of the Netherlands. A celebrated diarist, Frank described everyday life from her family’s hiding place in an Amsterdam attic.

Frank was born and died in Germany. She was born Frankfurt and died fifteen years later in the concentration camp of Bergen-Belsen.
