Fox Theatre. A performing arts venue in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia, and is the centerpiece of the Fox Theatre Historic District. The theater was originally planned as part of a large Shriner Temple as evidenced by its Moorish design. It then became a movie palace.

It opened in 1929, two months after The Great Crash–Black Thursday–the day of the largest sell-off of shares in U.S. history.
