    Discrimination. The unfair or prejudicial treatment of people based on their perceived or actual membership in certain groups or categories. These categories can include race, gender, age, religion, physical attractiveness, or sexual orientation. Discrimination can also be based on personal characteristics associated with a race, such as skin color, hair texture, or facial features.
