David Dinkins (1946-2020, age 93). [Luce Index™ rank 95]. An American politician (Democrat), lawyer, and author who served as the 106th mayor of New York City from 1990 to 1993. Dinkins was among the more than 20,000 Montford Point Marines, the first African American U.S. Marines, from 1945 to 1946. He attended Howard University followed by Brooklyn Law School. Born in Trenton, New Jersey.
