    Boston Massacre. On March 5, 1770, British soldiers fired into a crowd of colonists in front of the Custom House on King Street in Boston, killing five and wounding six. One of these was Crispus Attucks. The event, known as the Boston Massacre, was a result of growing tensions between the American colonists and the English Parliament.
