    Sonal Bhatia (b.xxxx). Dr. Sonal Bhatia is a purpose-driven biopharmaceutical executive leader and physician driving innovative solutions and data generation within Medical Affairs to bring important medicines to patients with equity and urgency. She is inspired to heal and educate beyond boundaries, empowering teams to transform healthcare to impact humanity.

    Dr. Bhatia specialized in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York after completing her Cell & Molecular Biology Specialization at the University of Toronto. She is also completing a fellowship in Integrative Medicine and Ayurveda from the MIU in Iowa, and hopes to bring these learnings to the community on Roosevelt Island soon.

    In her current role as Senior Vice President, Head of Medical Affairs, Specialty Care at Pfizer, Dr. Bhatia is passionate about leading the organization to become the “trusted partner and demonstrated leader in the Specialty Care community and is focused on digital health tools to help drive early diagnosis for patients with huge unmet needs while preparing the marketplace for gene therapy medicines.

    Dr. Bhatia is actively involved with non-profit organizations focused on reducing healthcare disparities, access to cardiovascular health, healthy living and being a catalyst for change in women’s health. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association (AHA) and is on the Executive Leadership Board for AHA Go Red for Women.

    She is a strong advocate and mentor for women and the future generation. She is a speaker at various panels and conferences internationally, driving the future of Medical Affairs using Digital as a cornerstone. Dr. Bhatia was recognized with the 2018 Rising Star Award by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA).
