World Day for the End of Speciesism (WoDES). The tenth annual world day will be held August 31, 2024. WoDES is an annual international event that aims to end speciesism, which is the discrimination of non-human animals based on their species. Animal rights groups around the world organize demonstrations on this day to denounce speciesist discrimination and demand that the interests of animals be considered.
