New York, N.Y. — As the world continues to grapple with the persistent issue of isolation, especially for individuals with disabilities and their caregivers, an inspiring global event aims to break down barriers and uplift communities through the power of dance.
On October 18th, “Flow with Me Honey Bee” will unite participants from the United States, India, Spain, and Russia in a free online Flow and Flair dance class designed to combat loneliness and foster joy.
A Global Gathering for Good
This event, hosted online over Zoom by Sorensdale Day Program in Hayward, CA, will connect participants from diverse backgrounds and geographies in a unique celebration of movement and inclusion.
Mykel, the visionary behind Flow and Flair, has 16 years of experience delivering transformative dance programs across five U.S. states. Now, he’s expanding his reach globally, inviting everyone to join this joyful event aimed at promoting mobility, independence, and bravery.
With the backing of prominent supporters such as Jim Luce, Founder and President of the James Jay Dudley Luce Foundation, the event promises to make a meaningful impact on the lives of participants.
As Jim remarks, “Combating isolation among individuals with disabilities and their caregivers is an important step in restoring a sense of purpose, connection, and hope. ‘Flow with Me Honey Bee’ is more than a dance class—it’s a lifeline.”
The Urgent Need to Combat Isolation
Immobility and social isolation have long been recognized as severe health risks for people with disabilities, often leading to early mortality and a diminished quality of life.
The pandemic further exacerbated these challenges, leaving individuals more isolated than ever. “Flow with Me Honey Bee” seeks to address these issues head-on by creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where participants can share in the joy of movement, build connections, and discover newfound independence.
As Mykel has observed over his 16 years of experience, the physical, emotional, and mental benefits of dance can be life-changing. This event is an opportunity for participants to turn pain into joy, all within the safety and comfort of their own homes.
A Star-Studded Roster of Attendees
Notable guests include H.R.H. Prince Manvendra and Duke Deandre from the Kingdom of Rajpipla in India, Vlada Von Shats, Owner of Russian Samovar in New York City, and Jim Luce, CEO of the James Jay Dudley Luce Foundation, which has projects in Haiti, India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka.
Additionally, attendees from Sorensdale Day Program (Hayward, CA) and the Institute for Applied Human Dynamics (Bronx, NY) will add to the international flavor of the event.
The goal is to gather at least 40 participants from each of the four countries involved, creating a dynamic and interconnected global experience.

This free virtual event will be held over Zoom, with registration details available soon at www.flowandflair.com. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in an immersive dance class that transcends borders, fosters community, and combats isolation in a fun and accessible way.
