Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd (1934-2016, age 81). Swedish painter and sculptor known for his piece in front of the United Nations, inspired by John Lennon, titled “The Knotted Gun.”
Reuterswärd studied with Fernand Léger in Paris 1951 and was a professor of painting at The Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm 1965–1969. In 1974 he was a guest professor at Minneapolis School of Art, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
His three most known art pieces are: Non-Violence (sculpture), Gertrude Stein Portraying Picasso by Alice B. Toklas, and Enseigne Kilroy.
Born in Stockholm, Sweden and died in Landskrona, Sweden.
