    Comparison to PhD

    The Ed.D. is different from a Ph.D. in Education, which is more research-focused and prepares students for careers in research. 

    Time commitment

    Like a Master’s degree, an Ed.D. requires a significant time commitment and personal dedication. While it’s possible to earn the degree in two years of full-time study, most students take longer.
