Dionysia-Theodora Avgerinopoulou (Διονυσία-Θεοδώρα Αυγερινοπούλου) is a current member of the Hellenic Parliament since the 2009 legislative election. She has served as the Deputy Secretary of Volunteer and NGOs for the New Democracy (Greece) Party.
She holds a “Ptyhio” (LL.B. equivalent) from the Law Faculty of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, graduated with highest honors, top 1 in class, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Legal Studies, with Distinction from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., and the Dean’s Certificate for her outstanding services for the academic community. She is a J.S.D. (Ph.D. in Law) candidate in International Environmental Law from the Columbia University School of Law.
During her studies she was the recipient of many awards and scholarships, most notably included a Fulbright scholarship, a NATO scholarship, and an Onassis scholarship. In 2010 she was awarded the Global Citizenship Award for Leadership in Assisting Humanity by Orphans International Worldwide.
