Adoption Triad. A symbol that represents the relationship between the birth parents, adoptive parents, and the adoptee.
The triad is often represented by a triangle with the adoptee at the top, and the birth and adoptive parents on either side of the base. An intertwined heart can also be included in the symbol to represent the love that exists in the adoption relationship
